In a masterclass display of recreational superiority on Riverside Courts, Beavis W. and Butthead D. left no room for ambiguity as they steamrolled past Eric C. and Kyle B. with a decisive 11-3, 11-6 victory at the Thursday Night Throwdown. The duo's lob technique wreaked more havoc than a lost Wi-Fi signal during a Netflix binge, leaving their opponents flustered and searching for answers in the ether. "It's like they're playing a different sport," mumbled an incredulous bystander, watching as Beavis and Butthead turned lobbing into an art form resembling dodging telemarketers' calls with uncanny precision.

The match kicked off with Beavis and Butthead asserting dominance early on, their lob shots soaring higher than a caffeinated toddler's sugar high, while Eric and Kyle found themselves rooted to the court like overconfident picnic tables bracing for a hurricane. "We thought we were prepared," admitted Eric, whose attempts to counter the lobs were as effective as trying to catch raindrops with a sieve.

Eric and Kyle managed to wrestle some semblance of control in the second set, rallying with bursts of aggression reminiscent of last-minute gym resolutions. Yet, their determination wilted faster than lettuce left in a hot car as Beavis and Butthead's consistency prevailed once more. "Just when you think you're in it: BOOM: another lob," lamented Kyle, whose frustration was rivaled only by someone unsuccessfully trying to peel a sticker off new sunglasses.

As the final point sealed their fate, Eric and Kyle exchanged glances of resigned exasperation. "Next time, we'll bring binoculars," Kyle joked after the match, contemplating his team's next strategic move against Beavis and Butthead's towering aerial assaults.
